For the first time ever in the United States, the Museo del Prado in Madrid will host an outdoor exhibition — in Santa Fe, one of the oldest Spanish cities in the country. Brought to Santa Fe by the American Friends of the Prado, in conjunction with the New Mexico Multi Cultural Foundation, Tourism Santa Fe, New Mexico True and the Spanish Colonial Arts Society, the exhibition will take place in Cathedral Park in the heart of downtown, next to the historic Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi.
This exciting exhibition contains 92 full scale and high quality reproductions of masterpieces in the Prado collection. Eighty-two masterpieces that will be displayed outdoors as part of this special project can be sponsored by corporations or individuals, at $3,000 or $1,500. Each image will have an object label as in a traditional museum exhibit, noting the name of the sponsor. This can be a logo, a single name, a couple, a family, or a list of a group of sponsors. Ancillary promotions, guides and the website will note the name of all those who adopt a masterpiece.
Each masterpiece can only be adopted once, so make your selection as soon as possible to guarantee your choice!Every donation is tax deductible, and each participant will receive invitations to the Prado Grand Opening Gala at the Eldorado Hotel & Spa on May 20th where dignitaries will be in attendance.
