4th Annual Museum Hill Community Day – Museum of Spanish Colonial Art

Join six Museum Hill partners for a traditional Matanza pig roast,Native dances, storytelling, bead sale and exchange, hands‑on activities, artist demonstrations, horno baking, refreshments, and more! Admission and all hands-on activities are FREE for New Mexico residents and guests alike.
Here is what is happening at MoSCA:
10 a.m. – Noon
Tin Workshop Make your own tin ornament. A brief introduction to working with tin.
10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The Spanish Colonial Arts Society Matanza (Traditional Pig Roast) A traditional annual social ritual that celebrated the harvest of meat and the bonds of immediate and extended families. $12 adult & $6 for children 7 years and younger
1 – 2 p.m.
Marie Romero Cash, author, Master of Lifetime Achievement recipient, and Spanish Market artist will read from several of her books about the art and culture of the Southwest, including excerpts from her Jemimah Hodge Mystery Series.
3 – 4 p.m.
Salsa Dancing Performance and Lesson with Darrin Visarraga
